The Downsides of BBC's "Atlantis"

In this post, I will be looking at the downside of BBC's Atlantis. Please comment below and tell me what YOU think.

1. The Use of Evil

I think that it will end up like Merlin did. It only started a few weeks ago and already there have been 2 uses of voodoo. Something needs to change or else it will not seem like a "Family friendly Saturday evening drama." The Queen has become a rather evil character, but still a perfect villainess.

2. The Under-use of mythololgy.

As a Percy Jackson fan, I had high hopes that this would have all the great myths. But they barely use the myths, and if they do they change it a LOT. Like in episode 1, we had the minotaur in the Labyrinth. But it wasn't even in Crete! And the Labyrinth is supposed to be a amazinglly built maze, with carvings on the walls. Instead it was just a cave with mud walls! The BBC budget shouldn't be that bad! And in episode 2, what on earth does bull-fighting have to do with Greek mythology?!? And they never mention Hercules's feats and how his father is Zeus!! And Medusa doesn't have snake-hair......Sad, just sad.( Guess what ?!? Hercules did mention one of his feats! I wonder if it phsyically hurt. And the Siren's song finally was used.)

3. The Forgotten Father

Ignore the tragedy sounding title. The series starts out with Jason looking for his father's submarine wreck and all of a sudden he ends up in Atlantis! But after episode 1, Jason never mentions his father or his past life. I think they should make each episode have Jason, Hercules and Pythagoras find a clue leading to where Jason's father is.

Note: Well that was a comedic episode. Hercules turning into a pig?!? LOLOLOLOLOl.
